I love this!

I took this family's pictures at a Halloween party.  It was at night and something about the way I did the lighting or something just didn't work out quite right.  I was really disappointed with the photographs.  The mom in this family graciously said she really liked the picture.  She said that, since they didn't really have any shots of the whole family, she was considering using the photo on her Christmas card.  I assume she was joking, but just the thought of it made me cringe, and I said, "Meet me this weekend, and I'll snap a few shots of your family."

And, aren't they just the cutest!?

There's a lot of you!

I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable family.  They're great friends of ours, but this was the first time I worked with a family with five kids.  Every time I posed them, I was like, "Oh, yeah, there's still another kid, where should I put her?  Oh, and there's another!"

At one point, I posed them all and stood back to take the photo when I realized I couldn't get them all in the frame with my 50mm lens.  I began to climb up a steep hill behind me and they were worried I was going to fall.  I was like, "Oh, I'll be fine.  It's just that there's just so many of you!"  They cracked up that this was a shock to me; it's not like I haven't known them for over seven years.
And now, because I can't get enough of my sweet baby M, here are some bonus shots!

Six month session

This little guy has some of the funniest expressions!  I just loved taking his photographs!

Maddy

It's hard to photograph an active toddler in a studio setting, and what toddler isn't active.  It's near impossible to get them to sit still right where you want them to sit.

Once the weather is nice, I'd love to get some shots of this beauty running around and playing.

Luke

This little guy is about to become a big brother!  I look forward to getting some shots of the two of them.
